Peachtree Chamber Players will perform a free concert on Tuesday, April 17th, 7:00 p.m., in the sanctuary of the North Fayette United Methodist Church, 847 New Hope Rd, Fayetteville, GA. The public is invited, and light refreshments will be served following the performance.
Peachtree Chamber Players was formed in 2015, and consists musicians from Chatt Hills, South Fulton and Fayetteville including: LuAnn Latzanich (piano), Tamara Grizzle (flute), Anthony Buzzard (oboe), Laurie Searle (clarinet), Becky Adams (French horn ), and Caroline Beson (bassoon)
The program includes a variety of classical music for woodwind quintet and piano, plus two solo pieces for English horn and Recorder. In addition, the woodwinds will perform the much-loved "Carnival of the Animals" by Saint-Saens, "Miniatures" by the African-American composer William Grant Still, and a collection of popular songs such as "Singin' In the Rain" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."
